Can I run an Eloquence (A.05.00 or A.06.00) program including forms
on an HPUX server from a PC workstation (Windows 95) without using a
terminal emulator?
No. A terminal emulator maps a character oriented user interface into
a graphical environment. So it is required.
Your options are:
- Use a terminal emulaton software such as Reflection. There is a
number of solutions available handling hp or vt320 terminal
types.
Price range is from $50 TO $500 per seat.
- Use a Java based terminal emulator (now available as a beta
version from Minisoft). We did not test it yet.
- Run a terminal emulator on the HP-UX server and use a X11
display server. Price range is from free to $500 per seat.
