Windows Installer Error Messages
Eloquence A.06.30 and above uses the Windows
Installer engine. In case of a failure an
error code is displayed.

Additionally, InstallShield maintains a database of the most common
Windows Installer problems and how to solve them. You can query their
database at
http://consumer.installshield.com/common.asp.
The most common error code occurs to be Internal Error #2355 which is described
as "defective CAB file". The most obvious reason is a failure during download of
any of the Eloquence .cab archives. However, as pointed out in the documents
named above, some versions of the Windows Installer are affected by a bug which
tends to cause internal error #2355 even if all .cab files are ok, in which case
you need a Windows Installer patch.
This does not apply to the Windows Installer version which is included with HP
Eloquence. However, if a newer version of the Windows Installer engine is
already installed it will always override the one included with Eloquence.
This is known for Windows NT as of Service Pack 6 which requires Service Pack 6a
to fix the problem, and Windows 2000 as of Service Pack 1 which requires Service
Pack 2 to fix the problem. Details about how to download and install the required
Windows Service Pack are contained in the documents named above.
