We have changed from HP-UX 9 to HP UX 11, using Eloquence 5.20
From old /etc/profile we transferred LANG=german to the new one.
UPC$ of German Umlaut does not return the real UPC$, but the
leaves the LWC$
This indicates the locale environment is not setup properly.
You should install patch PE52-9806100 which includes a dynamically
linked eloqcore (so the HP-UX 11.0 locale handling is in effect).
When using a device with ROMAN8 character set (70092 etc):
LANG=de_DE.roman8
export LANG
When using a device with ISO8859-1 charcter set (70060, vt320, dtterm):
LANG=de_DE.iso88591
ELOQLANG=de_DE.roman8
export LANG ELOQLANG
