Eloquence requires a license key to be installed on the server system.
When installing Eloquence on a HP-UX or windows system for the first time
by default a temporary license key is generated which expires after four
weeks.
A temporary license key may be requested on-line (see below) for an
additional period or for installation on Linux systems.
A permanent license key may be requested on-line (see below) or by
filling out the "Permanent License Key Request Form" which is included
with the shipment.
Eloquence comes with a license key for the
Eloquence Personal Edition which is limited to two users
and a maximum database size of 50 MB.
The Eloquence Personal Edition is intended for noncommercial
and evaluation usage and does not expire.

Obtaining the Eloquence SWID
Eloquence license keys are system specific and you need to obtain the
Eloquence swid before requesting a license key.
Eloquence B.08.40
To install a license key or to obtain the Eloquence SWID please
install the Eloquence product.
To automatically install a temporary license key for a new system
or update a system covered by a maintenance agreement please run
the Eloquence eqlictool utility.
To manually request a license please run the Eloquence gethwid utility
to obtain the system SWID.
Eloquence B.08.00 to B.08.30
To obtain the Eloquence swid of a system please install Eloquence and run the
/opt/eloquence/8.x/etc/gethwid utility. Where 8.x specifies the
Eloquence product version, for example 8.3 for Eloquence B.08.30.
Eloquence A.06.00 to A.07.10
To obtain the Eloquence swid of a system please install Eloquence and run the
/opt/eloquence6/etc/gethwid utility.
Eloquence A.05.00 to A.05.20
Please use the HP-UX uname -i command to obtain the Eloquence swid.
Installing a license key
Please add the license key(s) to the Eloquence license file. The Eloquence license
file is a plain text file. Its location depends on the Eloquence release.
Eloquence B.08.00 to B.08.40
The Eloquence license file is located in /etc/opt/eloquence/8.x/license.
Where 8.x specifies the
Eloquence product version, for example 8.3 for Eloquence B.08.30.
To verify the license file the /opt/eloquence/8.x/etc/chklic utility may be used.
Eloquence A.06.00 to A.07.10
The Eloquence license file is located in /etc/opt/eloquence6/license.
To verify the license file the /opt/eloquence6/etc/chklic utility may be used.
Eloquence A.05.00 to A.05.20
The Eloquence license file is located in /etc/opt/eloquence/license.
