Category Tags: defect_repair general_release critical Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/11.X/PHCO_31575 Symptoms: PHCO_31575: ( SR:8606357325 CR:JAGaf18025 ) Insert/delete line in curses program on dtterm causes incorrect display on screen. ( SR:8606363390 CR:JAGaf24052 ) PA-RISC libraries delivered to IPF are still HP-UX 11.11 version. ( SR:8606365511 CR:JAGaf26143 ) In keypad mode, getch() API does not read escape key sequences properly. PHCO_30693: ( SR:8606351376 CR:JAGaf12188 ) Insert/delete line in curses program causes incorrect display on screen. Defect Description: PHCO_31575: ( SR:8606357325 CR:JAGaf18025 ) The curses library stores the display data for each line in separate buffers and manipulates them for every insert/delete line call. Due to wrong assignment of buffers in certain cases the data displayed is not correct. Resolution: While inserting/deleting lines from the window the buffer assignment is now correct. ( SR:8606363390 CR:JAGaf24052 ) Following PA-RISC libraries delivered to IPF are still HP-UX 11.11 version /usr/lib/lib.b /usr/lib/libcurses.1 /usr/lib/libgprof.1 /usr/lib/libxcurses.1 /usr/lib/pa20_64/libgprof.1 /usr/lib/pa20_64/libprof.1 /usr/lib/pa20_64/libxcurses.1 Resolution: HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC libraries are being delivered now. The new libraries are delivered in their respective patches. ( SR:8606365511 CR:JAGaf26143 ) The getch() API is not reading the escape key sequences in keypad mode. This problem is seen when the getch() is used in the child process reading from a pipe, and the parent process is reading the escape key sequences and writing to the pipe. This was due to the usage of an incorrect file descriptor while waiting for a keyboard input. Resolution: Now the correct file descriptor is used while waiting for a keyboard input. PHCO_30693: ( SR:8606351376 CR:JAGaf12188 ) The curses library stores the display data for each line in separate buffers and manipulates them for every insert/delete line call. Due to wrong assignment of buffers in certain cases the data displayed is not correct. Resolution: While inserting/deleting lines from the window the buffer assignment is now corrected.
