Java based dialog system

.
Java(TM) Eloquence B.07.00 includes a graphical user interface implemented in Java. This provides an alternative to the ISA Dialog Manager based graphical user interface. The Java based graphical user interface will be released with source code.

Benefits:

  • Cross platform. The Java language is available for almost all platforms and operating systems.
  • Easy deployment. After installing the Java runtime the Eloquence user interface can be downloaded from the Web. It is no longer required to configure or install software on each client system.
  • Improved extensibility. The functionality of the user interface can be enhanced in Java or by adding Java components which can then be used from Eloquence.
  • It is no longer required (but an option) to have the RUNSRV.
  • Eloquence applications can be started from the user interface without the need to use the Eloquence start utility.
  • Functional enhancements. The Java based dialog system provides new functionality such as integrating WEB content and dialogs and integrating with a WEB browser.
  • Source code availability makes it easier to extend and customize to specific requirements.

The Java Graphical User Interface is intended to be used in the Intranet which is typically connected by a low latency network. This should allow usage of current Eloquence DLG programs without any or with only minor changes (similar to Dialog Manager).
